The glass marbles on this page are all hand made free-form on a torch. I carefully flame-polish the punty marks from the ends of the marble unless you prefer that I leave one on as some collectors do. Each marble averages 3/4″ in diameter and comes with a hand-turned walnut marble stand for display and a navy blue flocked pouch for carrying.
The butterfly in this glass marble flies through the universe with the starry night sky in the background. The stars are made with .999% pure silver that I file up and encase with a deep cobalt blue glass.
This glass marble gets all of it's color from cobalt blue glass and .999% pure silver. The silver forms stars, planets, dust clouds, and comet trails and combines to create a small milky way you can hold in your hand.
My beloved cat Olivia died on October 4, 2009 and you made the pendant for me shortly after that. I don't even know how to describe the reactions I get to it. From anyone's perspective, it appears to be just a simple glass pendant. But people comment on it CONSTANTLY. I am not kidding.
In the bank, in stores, etc. The person who asks is almost always someone who needs to talk about their pet they have lost. I am not new age-ish at all, but it is like it has an energy that reaches out to those who need it.
I just wanted you to know how much it means to me. It is my most cherished possession and I wear it almost daily. Thank you for creating these wonderful works of art and emotion. — Robin Rogers, Wake Forest, NC
