These lampwork glass turtle pendants were inspired by the many sea turtles ("Honu" in Hawaiian) that swim in the waters of the Hawaiian islands. If you have ever seen one of these turtles up close, you know what magical creatures they are. Their shells are rounded on top and their head functions as a loop or bail to put your cord or necklace through. I use a deep cobalt blue glass to make their heads and flippers and different colors for the top of their shells. The silver color is achieved by fuming .999% pure silver onto the top of the shell and trapping it in with dots of clear glass. The blue/green and amber/purple shells are created with two of my favorite borosilicate glass colors that capture the changing shades of the ocean. Pendants will vary slightly in size and color as each is specially made for your order. All of my lampwork glass art is backed by my 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
